IOTE IoT Expo & Electronic Paper Industry Alliance: A Powerful Collaboration

  • Both parties have strong potential for integrated development.
  • E-paper is a key technology for IoT information visualization.
  • IoT provides a vast market for e-paper applications.

Leading E-Paper Enterprises Gather at IOTE 2026

Over 30 leading companies in the e-paper industry will participate, The Electronic Paper Industry Alliance will also invite brand enterprises, professional buyers, and media partners to participate in group visits, jointly exploring:

  • New trends for e-paper applications in the IoT ecosystem
  • Innovative solutions for smart industries
  • Hot topics and emerging opportunities in the electronic paper industry

This collaboration demonstrates the integration of e-paper and IoT technologies and highlights the future growth and market potential of e-paper in connected applications.

What is E-Paper

E-paper (electronic paper) is a bistable display technology that does not emit light on its own, but relies on ambient light reflection to form images. It can retain images permanently even when powered off, offering a display effect close to that of natural paper. E-paper features ultra-thin and lightweight designs, rewritable capabilities, portability, and reduced eye strain, making it ideal for reading and information display.

Today, e-paper has been widely applied across industries such as e-book reading, new retail, education, transportation, healthcare, industrial, civil aviation, logistics, and office applications, gradually replacing traditional paper. It supports recyclability while enabling digitalization and smart IoT integration. By 2020, e-paper shipments had exceeded 800 million units, driving an overall industry output exceeding hundreds of billions of RMB across the upstream and downstream supply chain.

Applications and Market Potential

E-paper products now span multiple fields, including new retail, education, healthcare, transportation, logistics, mobile devices, and wearable technology. Large-format e-paper, in particular, is becoming a key enabler for smart city construction.

Benefiting from the global deployment of 5G, big data, and IoT, the e-paper industry and IoT ecosystem are poised for substantial growth, offering significant opportunities for innovation and market expansion.uture growth and market potential of e-paper in connected applications.
