As AIoT and smart home technologies continue to advance, seamless interoperability across brands, platforms, and ecosystems has become a key priority for the industry. Developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), Matter is an open connectivity standard built around unified protocols, simplified development, and secure interoperability, helping accelerate the global smart home industry toward a more open and connected ecosystem.
The 2026 Matter Developer Conference brought together companies from across the global industry value chain, technology experts, and developers to explore the evolution of the Matter open standard. Discussions focused on standards development, technological innovation, product development, ecosystem building, and large-scale deployment, examining how Matter can enable innovation across smart homes, smart buildings, and AIoT.
The conference provided a platform for industry stakeholders to exchange insights, explore practical implementation strategies, and advance the development of an open and interoperable connected ecosystem.
