On December 17, 2024, a technology event with the theme of "One Touch Interaction, Touch the Future" was held in Shenzhen, and our website was invited to attend. The conference brought together many elites from the industry, academia and media to discuss the development and future trends of near-field sensing interaction technology.
Zhou Shengming, a representative of the Smart Terminal Electronics Association, delivered an opening speech. He pointed out that as users' demand for smart and convenient experience of terminal products such as mobile phones and wearables continues to rise, the application and support of near-field interaction technology by smart terminals are increasing. However, this also brings some common problems, such as failure to recognize and wrong card selection when swiping cards. In order to solve these problems, many ITMA member units jointly promoted the iTAP (Intelligent Touchless Proximity Protocol) standardization project, aiming to make near-field interaction between devices more convenient and safe than ever before.
Wang Wenfeng, deputy director of the Internet of Things Center of China Electronics Standardization Institute, discussed in depth the relationship between digital identity and standardization, introduced important organizations and standards in the field of digital identity at home and abroad, and looked forward to the future development trend of digital identity. His speech provided participants with a window to gain an in-depth understanding of the field of digital identity, and also provided useful ideas and suggestions for promoting the formulation and improvement of global digital identity standards.
Later, Wang Wenjian, deputy director of the National Radio Monitoring Center, introduced the role of the testing center in promoting the standardization and industrialization of iTAP technology. He mentioned that the testing center is not only a laboratory, but also provides comprehensive technical support for the construction of evaluation systems, commercial promotion and ecological construction of multiple domestic alliances. Through cross-domain technology integration and product ecological globalization, the testing center will continue to deepen technological innovation, strengthen international cooperation, and promote the coordinated development of the industrial ecology with ITMA.
Professor Liu Yuanwei, IEEE Fellow of the University of Hong Kong, brought the latest application scenarios and trends of near-field communication technology to everyone. He demonstrated the potential of near-field communication in sensing imaging, map generation, etc., showed how to use NFC to detect the quality and location of eggs, and emphasized the importance of technological innovation in promoting industrial development.
Through the use of NFC technology, smart egg boxes can detect the quality of eggs at a low cost based on imaging recognition. In addition, NFC can also be used to create smart refrigerators that can detect the exact physical quantity (such as the capacity of beverages), as well as smart packaging equipment that can detect packaging or storage containers.
Afterwards, the official release ceremony of the iTAP technology white paper was held, and many guests were invited to the stage to jointly launch the future development of the iTAP ecosystem near-field interaction. With the release of the white paper and the launch of the iTAP ecosystem, the guests at the meeting expressed that they would work together to promote the advancement of new technologies and the prosperity and development of the industrial ecosystem.
The successful holding of this conference not only provided participants with a platform to gain an in-depth understanding of the development and future trends of near-field sensing interaction technology, but also injected new vitality and impetus into promoting technological innovation and industrial development.
