On August 29, 2024, the "IOTE·2024 Shenzhen UWB Technology Innovation Application Seminar" sponsored by Shenzhen Internet of Things Industry Association and co-sponsored by iot Media, AIoT Star Map Research Institute, IOTE iot Exhibition and AIOT Library was successfully held in Hall 5, Hall 9, Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Bao 'an).

This symposium brought together experts and scholars from the field of UWB technology, business leaders and industry elites to discuss the latest progress and future application trends of UWB technology.

At the beginning of the conference, Zhang Zhongliang, head of AIoT Star Map Research Institute, shared the "UWB application Innovation Trend".

He pointed out that with the active layout of Apple, Huawei, Qualcomm and other technology giants, UWB technology is gradually penetrating from the enterprise market to the consumer market, and it is expected that the shipment of UWB chips will usher in explosive growth in the next few years.

Zhang Zhongliang stressed that the high-precision positioning, high security and anti-interference capabilities of UWB technology will bring revolutionary changes to the Internet of Things, smart wear, smart home, automotive and other fields.

Haiyue, product manager of Changsha Chixin Semiconductor Technology Co., LTD., made an in-depth discussion on the theme of "development strategy and market opportunities for domestic UWB chips from a global perspective".

She analyzed the current application of UWB technology in consumer scenarios and the competitive landscape of the global market, and pointed out that with the development potential of domestic chips and policy support, domestic UWB chips will usher in huge market opportunities.

Haiyue also detailed Chixin Semiconductor's technical advantages and industrial layout in UWB chip research and development, showing the competitiveness of domestic chips on the international stage.

Wu Bangguo, commercial director of Shenzhen Air Cycle Technology Co., LTD., shared the "UWB precision positioning application challenges and solutions ".

He combined with actual cases, in-depth analysis of UWB technology in the accurate positioning of the mainstream technology on the route scheme, pointed out the scene fragmentation, base station deployment difficulty, high cost of label hardware three challenges, and one by one proposed targeted solutions.

Wu Bangguo said that Nooploop empty cycle will play an important role in many fields such as smart factories, smart cities, warehousing and logistics through technological innovation and market expansion.

Subsequently, Mei Gang, marketing director of Shenzhen Jieyang Microelectronics Co., LTD., elaborated on "the application of UWB in the IoT consumer market".

He shared product cases of UWB technology in a wide range of IOT consumer application scenarios such as car digital keys, pointing remote controls, UWB Tag, item finding/toy following/smart speakers, smart door locks/access control, and stressed the important role of UWB technology in improving user experience and ensuring data security.

Zhao Shaohua said that with the increasing demand of consumers for smart home and wearable devices, UWB technology will usher in a broader space for development as a mainstream wireless technology.

In the second half of the seminar, Yang Yonghui, general manager of Shenzhen Weineng Information Technology Co., Ltd. shared the "Demand and market trend of UWB networking technology".

He introduced the characteristics, market demand and future development trend of UWB networking technology in detail, and showed the industrial layout and technological innovation achievements of micro-energy information in the field of UWB.

Yang Yonghui pointed out that through technology integration and scene expansion, the UWB overall solution of micro-energy information will be widely used in many fields such as power grid, mine monitoring, petrochemical, smart medical treatment, smart elderly care, smart justice, smart buildings, smart factories, emergency rescue, rail transit and so on.

In addition, Liu Haoyu, product director of Patner (Shanghai) Robot Technology Co., LTD., shared the theme of "Mode Change of product design of commercial service robots and application of RF positioning technology", and discussed the advantages of UWB technology in positioning perspective of commercial service robots.

Especially in the application exploration of the "no picture" mode, the low-cost and low-precision performance has now been able to meet the application needs, and the future intelligent development of commercial service robots provides new interaction schemes.

Liu Haoyu said that UWB technology is expected to inject new vitality into commercial service robots in the future, and promote the development of more intelligent and autonomous direction.

At the end of the meeting, Yang Lin, CTO of Shenzhen Kewei Information Technology Co., LTD., showed the layout of Kewei information in NFC & UWB services, and shared the theme of "UWB demand and market trend in the field of non-inductive payment".

The successful cases of UWB technology in the non-inductive payment of subway are listed, which not only ensures the security and reliability of data transmission, but also greatly improves the traffic efficiency and user experience.

Yang Lin said that in the future, the one-stop UWB application mobile terminal will be integrated and landed on more applications and solutions in emerging fields.

This seminar not only showcases the latest achievements and innovative applications of UWB technology, but also promotes exchanges and cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.

The speakers also had close exchanges after the meeting, saying that this seminar provided valuable ideas and directions for the future development of UWB technology, and looked forward to seeing the landing and popularization of more innovative applications in the future.
