The 2025 Shenzhen (International) General Artificial Intelligence Conference's Intelligent Robot Scenario Application Development Forum was successfully held. On August 28, 2025, the "Intelligent Robot Scenario Application Development Forum," a sub-forum of the 2025 AGIC Shenzhen (International) General Artificial Intelligence Conference, was held at the Turing Academy in Hall 12 of the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Bao'an). Hosted by the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association and themed "New Ecosystem, New Opportunities," the forum attracted numerous professionals from government, businesses, research institutions, and other sectors to discuss the development opportunities and challenges of intelligent robots in the current new ecosystem.

The forum officially opened at 9:30 a.m. Zhao Bingbing, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Shenzhen Longgang District Artificial Intelligence (Robotics) Office, delivered a leadership speech, congratulating the forum and welcoming the guests. The forum noted that intelligent robots have evolved from robotic arms on assembly lines to become a vital force capable of integrating into complex environments, driving industrial upgrades, and transforming lifestyles. The forum emphasized Shenzhen's commitment to "daring to experiment, daring to take the lead," as well as its financial and systematic support for the intelligent robotics sector. The forum also mentioned Longgang's focus on technological breakthroughs, practical implementation, and ecosystem development, with a particular emphasis on overcoming challenges such as "computing power + large models" and "embodied intelligence." The forum then addressed the question of "robots being the emperor's new clothes" from four perspectives: "robots are human 'plug-ins,'" "AI needs to grow to achieve embodied intelligence," "robot teams improve efficiency," and "robots need to earn human trust." The forum concluded with wishes for a successful forum and a vision of a future where intelligent robots will become a new mode of production and a possible way of life.

Subsequently, Lv Gang, Executive Vice President of the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, took the stage to deliver a speech. On behalf of the organizers, he welcomed and thanked the guests and industry colleagues. He noted that the intelligent robotics industry is reaching a historic turning point, centered on large-scale models and embodied intelligence. Shenzhen, leveraging its advantages in comprehensive computing infrastructure and deep technological integration, is accelerating its development with the support of member companies such as Kuanheng Technology and Huacheng Industrial Control, as well as the Longgang District Artificial Intelligence (Robotics) Office. He also introduced how the forum will serve as a platform for exchange of ideas, encompassing the sharing of cutting-edge research findings, interpretation of technology implementation paths, and roundtable discussions on core topics such as "Breaking Through the Computing Power and Accuracy Bottleneck." The forum aims to promote collaborative research between government and enterprises, enabling intelligent robots to empower the real economy and improve people's well-being. Finally, he called for the development of an open and collaborative industry ecosystem and wished the forum a success.

In the highly anticipated keynote speech session, industry leaders took the stage one after another to share cutting-edge insights and practical experiences. Qiao Jing, Director of the Frontier Research Institute of Guangzhou Kuanheng Information Technology Co., Ltd., presented a keynote address on unlocking new applications in embodied intelligence scenarios using "computing power + big models" as key drivers. The presentation brought together industry experts to discuss technological breakthroughs, application scenarios, and industrial opportunities in the field of intelligent robotics, promoting the deep integration and innovative development of general artificial intelligence and the robotics industry.

Du Xiaolei, Director and Robotics Industry Director of Shenzhen Huacheng Industrial Control Co., Ltd., shared how Huacheng Industrial Control is focusing on embodied intelligence, with a core focus on "deepening embodied cerebellum technology and building an embodied intelligent control system framework." Leveraging its extensive experience in motion control, the company showcased embodied robot control system solutions for global mainstream manufacturing companies, encompassing flexible loading and unloading, industrial robots, intelligent sites, and embodied cerebellum. The company is committed to promoting the development of domestic robots through independently developed core technologies such as integrated drive and control, helping "Made in China" achieve domestic substitution.

Chen Weiqiu, Business Director of Shenzhen Xinbu Technology Co., Ltd., focused on "Promoting the practical implementation of embodied intelligence through the integration of brain and brain," aiming to address key challenges in the practical implementation of embodied intelligence. Leveraging Xinbu's 33 years of experience in motherboard technology and its industry-leading strength, the presentation aims to inject core momentum into the large-scale and practical development of embodied intelligence in the intelligent robotics field, helping to build a new ecosystem for the coordinated development of general artificial intelligence and intelligent robots and tap into new industry opportunities.

Gan Zhongxue, Distinguished Professor at Fudan University and Director of the Institute of Intelligent Robotics, drawing on his profound academic attainments and extensive industry experience, systematically examined the current bottlenecks facing general intelligent robots in technology, the market, and the industrial ecosystem, focusing on the topic of "Bottlenecks in the Development of General Intelligent Robots and Breakthrough Paths in the New Ecosystem." He analyzed in detail the current focus on humanoid robots, which, drawing on existing technologies and cultural foundations in physics, AI, and biology, offer advantages such as increased user acceptance and adaptability to the human environment. However, they also face bottlenecks such as functional constraints, efficiency issues, and limited thinking. Against this backdrop, research suggests that future general-purpose intelligent robots must transcend the humanoid framework and build a new ecosystem where "all things are spiritual, not necessarily humanoid." Fractal mimicry is a key breakthrough direction. By leveraging dynamic morphological reconstruction, environmentally driven adaptation, and bio-inspired intelligence, and combining the advantages of fractal structures with embodied intelligence, they aim to overcome current development bottlenecks and explore development paths more adaptable to diverse scenarios.

Liu Jiangxia, CEO of Zhongshan Jinsan Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech titled "Cracking the Code of Loneliness: How Emotional Robots Can Become an Extension of Real-Life Companionship." Her company, a leading global bionic doll manufacturer and the first in China to focus on the research and development of bionic dolls for 15 years, leverages its proprietary bionic technology, introduces a large AI voice model (combining large language models such as DeepSeek, Llama, and ChatGPT), and incorporates anthropomorphic micro-expression technology and anthropomorphic motion algorithms to launch a new generation of AI bionic robots capable of speech, conversation, guided tours, and dance. The company aims to explore the role of emotional robots in extending real-life companionship and provide guidance for addressing loneliness in today's world.

Professor Zhang Huaidong, co-founder of Shenzhen Cyborg Robotics Co., Ltd., delivered a speech titled "Breakthroughs in Complex Applications of All-Terrain Embodied Intelligent Robots." He shared how Shenzhen Cyborg Robotics focuses on the development of high-risk, heavy-load, biomimetic, full-scale humanoid robots for the B-end. Its core products include the Cyborg-R01 automotive-grade heavy-load robot (with 275TOPS computing power and 62 degrees of freedom) and the Cyborg-H01 bionic tendon-driven dexterous hand (with 16 degrees of freedom and a single-handed load capacity of 10kg). Leveraging advantages such as over 70% in-house hardware and 90% cost reduction, these robots are being applied in diverse scenarios, including healthcare, new energy, coal mining, and power grids.
