During the 2025 National Two Sessions in China, "embodied intelligence" and "intelligent robots" were officially written into the Government Work Report, clearly identified as a national strategic focus for the next-generation intelligent terminal industry. This follows the 2021 release of the national "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Robotics Industry" by 15 ministries including the MIIT and NDRC, reaffirming China’s commitment to supporting the robotics sector.
In response, many Chinese robotics manufacturers are now integrating cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent sensors, 5G, and large AI models into their robotics platforms. This fusion has given rise to innovations like intelligent agent clusters, significantly boosting robotic intelligence and expanding the industry’s reach into complex industrial and lifestyle applications. Robots have now become a pivotal growth driver in the global smart technology ecosystem.
To accelerate this momentum, the RIE Shenzhen International Robot Industry Expo will be held from August 27 to 29, 2025, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Co-located with IOTE 2025 and the AGIC Conference, the event spans 80,000 square meters and is expected to host 1,000 exhibitors, covering the full robotics ecosystem—from perception and control systems to mechanical structures and AI brain chips.
