August 29, 2025, marked the successful conclusion of IOTE 2025 - The 24th International Internet of Things Expo at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. This three-day global industry spectacle, centered around the theme "Ecological Intelligence, Connecting the World," synergized with the AGIC Artificial Intelligence Exhibition and ISVE Smart Commercial Display Show. Across an expansive 80,000-square-meter exhibition space, it brought together over 1,000 exhibitors and attracted a cumulative total of more than 150,000 professional attendees, vividly demonstrating the transformative power of AIoT technology in driving industrial evolution.
Since its inception in 2009, the IOTE International Internet of Things Expo has, over the past 16 years, consistently played a triple role in China’s IoT industry: as a witness, a catalyst, and a bellwether.
From its early efforts to promote the adoption of perception-layer technologies to its current focus on "full-scenario implementation of AIoT," IOTE’s evolution has consistently mirrored the upgrading trajectory of China’s IoT industry. Particularly under the guidance of national strategies such as the 14th Five-Year Plan and the 2035 Long-Range Objectives, IoT and artificial intelligence have been explicitly identified as critical infrastructure for building the nation’s technological strength. In this context, the value of IOTE has become even more pronounced:
It has not only become a global arena for enterprises to showcase cutting-edge technologies but also a vital bridge linking policy direction and market demand. It helps domestic enterprises accurately grasp national strategic opportunities and accelerate the commercialization of technological achievements, while also providing international companies with an important window to understand China’s market environment and participate in the country’s digital economy development.
The current edition of IOTE brought together over 1,000 exhibitors spanning the entire IoT industry chain, showcasing a diverse range of products and solutions, including:
humanoid robots, robotic dogs, robotic arms, naked-eye 3D light field displays, holographic projection, natural language processing, multimodal models, edge computing, visual IoT, AI-powered toys, smart home devices, AI-based motion-sensing interaction, satellite positioning solutions, high-precision location services, connected vehicles, IoT wireless communication, integrated sensing and communication, embedded systems, sensors, RFID, and electronic paper, among others.
The participation of 1,000 leading enterprises and innovative players from various sectors comprehensively demonstrated the vibrant dynamism and clustering effect of the global intelligent IoT industry.
On the opening day, a wide array of cutting-edge technologies and innovative products—spanning from RFID, sensors, communication and positioning solutions, and vision systems to AI-powered toys, artificial intelligence, and smart robotics—were unveiled across the entire industry chain, captivating attendees with an overwhelming display of innovation.
According to pre-registration data from the IOTE Shenzhen IoT Exhibition, even before the event commenced, a record-breaking total of 10,606 overseas buyers from over 30 countries and regions — including the United States, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, India, the Philippines, Brazil, Vietnam, and South Africa — had registered their intent to visit, marking an all-time high in international attendance.
This growing appeal among global visitors stems from the exhibition’s long-established influence in the international industry and its enhanced capacity to serve an overseas audience.
A key highlight was the “International Exchange Zone” (Booth 11B30, Hall 11), professionally operated by the World Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things Alliance (WAIA Alliance), which served as a dedicated matchmaking hub for international buyers.
On the opening day, the WAIA Alliance also hosted the “Global AI and IoT Innovation Application Ecosystem Summit and Overseas Buyer Networking Reception,” bringing together hundreds of key domestic and international guests. The event provided end-to-end support — from information exchange to business negotiations — facilitating meaningful connections throughout.
