On March 3rd local time, the 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC) opened grandly at the Barcelona Convention and Exhibition Center in Spain. Regarded as the preferred carrier for the implementation of AI large models, AI glasses and XR products have also become one of the highlights of this exhibition.
At the same time, A-share listed companies are in the process of laying out the AI glasses industry chain. Recently, companies such as Longqi Technology and Jingsheng Electromechanical have "grouped" to enter the field of AI glasses. There are as many as 78 concept stocks of AI glasses in Oriental Fortune, involving chips, sensors, screens, batteries, solutions, complete machines, ODM foundry and other links.
AI glasses stand at the "C position" of MWC2025
The 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC) kicked off in Barcelona, Spain on March 3, and AI glasses and XR (extended reality) products became the most dazzling stars of this exhibition.
Following the CES exhibition at the beginning of the year, this field has once again attracted global attention. International giants such as Qualcomm, Samsung, and Meta have demonstrated a new generation of AI glasses solutions, while Chinese companies such as StarJi Meizu and ArcSoft have seized the market with innovative functions. For example, StarJi Meizu's StarV Air2 AR smart glasses, with real-time translation and "prompter" functions, saw sales soar five times in a week, becoming an innovative benchmark for business scenarios.
IDC predicts that global smart glasses shipments will reach 12.8 million units in 2025, with the Chinese market leading with a growth rate of 107%, marking a key turning point for AI glasses to move from concept to large-scale implementation.
A-share industry chain in-depth layout: full ecological synergy from sensors to complete machines
Behind the outbreak of AI glasses is the comprehensive penetration of the industry chain by A-share listed companies. According to data from Oriental Fortune, there are as many as 78 AI glasses concept stocks, covering chips, sensors, screens, batteries, ODM foundry and other links.
Sensor technology: the core support of intelligent interaction
As a key component for AI glasses to perceive the environment and user behavior, breakthroughs in sensor technology directly determine the functionality of the product. For example, high-precision optical sensors combined with AI algorithms can realize functions such as gesture recognition and eye tracking; environmental sensors (such as gyroscopes and accelerometers) support spatial positioning and dynamic interaction.
At the MWC exhibition, many companies demonstrated AI glasses equipped with multimodal sensors, such as seamless operation through mixed voice and gesture input. In addition, domestic companies such as Kunyou Optoelectronics have greatly reduced the cost of optical waveguides through wafer-level optical technology, providing a new path for the lightweight and integration of sensor modules.
Accelerated integration of the industrial chain
On February 27, four Zhejiang University-affiliated companies including Longqi Technology and Jingsheng Electromechanical signed the "AI/AR Industrial Chain Strategic Cooperation Agreement", proposing to build a moat with "technical standards + industrial closed loop + national brand". Among them, Jingsheng Electromechanical's silicon carbide material technology reduces the weight of AI glasses to less than 20g, breaking through the bottleneck of wearing comfort; Longqi Technology relies on its ODM foundry advantages to promote mass production and cost optimization of the whole machine. This cooperation marks a breakthrough in the localization of Chinese companies in the core links of AI glasses, shifting from hardware definition to the ecological reconstruction of "AI defines hardware".
Technological breakthroughs and scenario revolution: from tools to "external brains"
The competition of AI glasses has gone beyond hardware parameters and turned to the deep integration of scenario applications:
1. AI big models enable interactive upgrades
The "Yuntian Tianshu" big model developed by Yuntian Lifei is applied to Shanji AI glasses, supporting multimodal interaction and memory systems, making it the "external brain" of users.
2. Industry scenarios are rigidly needed
Education, medical care, industry and other fields have become the focus of implementation. For example, the real-time translation function reshapes the experience of cross-border meetings, AR-assisted maintenance improves industrial efficiency, and AI glasses in medical scenarios can display patient data in real time.
3. Lightweight and all-weather use
The combination of silicon carbide materials and diffraction optical waveguide technology prolongs the battery life of the device and adapts to outdoor strong light environments, promoting the popularization of the consumer market.
2025-2026 may become a watershed in the market
Despite the broad prospects, the industry still faces three challenges:
Technology iteration risk: L4 smart glasses need to break through the bottlenecks of real-time 3D modeling and low-power computing power, and 2027 may become a technical match point;
Supply chain cost game: The speed of cost reduction of core components such as sensors and optical waveguides will determine the terminal price competitiveness;
User cognitive reconstruction: The transition from "tasting new" to "just need" depends on the improvement of scene penetration, and leading manufacturers need to continue to educate the market.
Conclusion
MWC2025 is not only a technology show, but also reveals the strategic position of AI glasses as the next generation of human-computer interaction entrance. As China's industrial chain shifts from a follower to a standard setter, the global competition landscape may be reshaped. In the next two years, whether companies can take the lead in sensor fusion, ecological synergy and scene innovation will be the key to their breakthrough.
