The 5G-A cellular passive Internet of Things chip model of China Mobile Xinsheng is CM5610-Alpha, which represents the latest achievements of China Mobile Xinsheng in the field of chip research and development. The chip supports the communication standards of the current 3GPP AIoT proposal version, including BPSK/ASK, Manchester coding, etc. In terms of receiving sensitivity, it is significantly better than traditional passive technology. With the on-chip reflection amplifier, it can increase the passive communication distance to more than 50 meters. At the same time, its receiving power consumption is only about 100 microwatts, showing excellent energy efficiency performance.

In 2024, the 5G-A passive Internet of Things project of China Mobile Guangxi Company supported by China Mobile Xinsheng has successfully completed the pilot verification. The successful implementation of this project not only provides a strong proof of the technical strength of China Mobile Core, but also provides the prototype of a new digital infrastructure base for the broad vision of 5G-A Internet of Everything.
