As soon as the National Day holiday ended, major e-commerce platforms started their "promotion engines": Tmall launched the first wave of pre-sale activities on October 14, 10 days earlier than last year; Douyin set October 8 to 17 as the warm-up period for Double Eleven; JD.com was not far behind and launched the pre-order activities for Double Eleven on October 12; Pinduoduo's 10 billion subsidies were also launched in advance.
In this Double Eleven, we saw that large platforms did not fight alone, but began to "help each other". On September 27, Taobao announced that its shopping platform will gradually support the use of WeChat payment. On October 16, JD Logistics fully connected to the Taobao Tmall platform, and platform merchants will be able to choose JD Logistics as a service provider. More and more cooperation is optimizing the user experience of Double Eleven and improving the service efficiency of Double Eleven. On the smart warehousing side, there are also many improvements compared with the past. This article briefly sorts out the applications of this year's Double Eleven from the perspective of smart devices.
The opening of the logistics network
On October 16, JD Logistics and Taotian Group jointly announced their cooperation, which means that JD Logistics will be integrated into the Taobao Tmall platform during the Double Eleven period, adding a new option for platform merchants. The specific additions cover the entire supply chain service from warehouse management to JD Express, express delivery services, and even integrated supply chain solutions.
In recent years, JD Logistics has successfully built a nationwide intelligent warehousing network, currently operating more than 1,600 self-operated warehouses and more than 2,000 cloud warehouse facilities in China, and owns more than 40 advanced logistics centers known as "Asia No. 1". Its integrated supply chain solutions and logistics services have been widely used and recognized in six core industry fields such as fast-moving consumer goods, home appliances and furniture, 3C electronic products, clothing, auto parts and fresh food.
Since 2007, JD.com has started to build its own logistics system and has always insisted on making "door-to-door delivery" one of the core service commitments of JD.com Express.
Taking Beijing JD.com Asia No. 1 Warehouse as an example, its warehouse has achieved the innovation of software, hardware, employee operation integration and intelligent logistics model by applying large-scale complete sets of intelligent storage and sorting equipment and intelligent brain-WMS system in various links. The main equipment in the park includes Tianlang, Dilang, Feilang, automatic packaging machine, automatic distribution, automatic cross-belt sorting machine and automatic conveyor belt. In addition, the park also uses 5G and Internet of Things technology to realize the intelligent identification, guidance and scheduling of logistics vehicles, improving production efficiency.
Deppon Express optimizes collection, transfer and delivery, and uses technology to improve time efficiency
During the collection stage, Deppon Express has successfully implemented the "instant collection" service with its direct-operated outlets throughout the country, with a township coverage rate of up to 94%, providing great convenience for consumers. At the same time, by introducing cloud printing technology, users can now easily enjoy the convenient experience of remote ordering, which not only improves the overall service efficiency, but also greatly improves the user experience.
During the transfer process, Deppon Express continues to promote the automation transformation of the station and is the first in the industry to introduce a multi-layer three-dimensional automated sorting system that integrates large and small items. The system combines six-sided scanning technology and RFID channel machines, which can efficiently and accurately handle small items from 0-3kg to 60kg large items, ensuring that the sorting speed of large items is synchronized with small items. This intelligent system realizes the automatic classification and destination allocation of goods through six-sided surround barcode recognition technology, greatly shortening the sorting time and significantly reducing the error rate. After adopting this system, Deppon Express's unloading and sorting efficiency has been significantly improved. The average unloading time has been reduced by more than 30%, and the sorting capacity of its own field sites across the country has jumped to more than one million pieces per hour, with the overall efficiency more than tripling.
In the transportation link, Deppon Express not only increased its capacity reserves, but also established a full-process monitoring and early warning mechanism to ensure that it can fully meet the delivery needs of the platform and merchants. At the same time, by integrating transportation resources, Deppon Express has realized "air-rail combined transportation", which can flexibly adjust the space according to actual needs, reduce the transit links, avoid cargo detention, and ensure that all items can be delivered to the destination in a timely and accurate manner. In addition, Deppon Express has also launched an automatic dispatching system to improve the efficiency of drivers and couriers in picking up and delivering goods, and introduced IoT technology to develop an intelligent routing system to achieve the operation of the global optimal route for express delivery, further improving the leanness and timeliness of transportation.
In the delivery stage, Deppon Express has developed a new map platform and applied an intelligent zoning system to reduce the running distance of couriers by optimizing routes. At the same time, Deppon Express also pays attention to timely communication with users and delivers goods according to user requirements. The application of the full-segment code sorting function effectively shortens the time of leaving the warehouse and ensures fast and accurate delivery. For items with high requirements for the shelf life, such as fresh food, Deppon Express provides priority delivery service within two hours, fully meeting the needs of consumers.
