Industry trend|Shanghai invests tens of millions in bidding for RFID base stations and other equipment to capture illegal electric bicycle activities 24 hours a day

In order to further strengthen the off-site law enforcement work of the traffic police, Shanghai Jiading launched the bidding for the construction project of Jiading off-site law enforcement evidence collection equipment in October this year, intending to add new off-site law enforcement equipment, and simultaneously promote the construction of RFID electric bicycle intelligent control system and non-motor vehicle and pedestrian law enforcement equipment. The main procurement content of this project is: 53 sets of new electronic police, 100 sets of new pedestrian non-machine electronic police, 60 sets of new RFID capture equipment, and related supporting equipment (platform expansion, communication optical cable, cryptographic application construction, etc.).

 

Recently, the winning (transaction) results of the Jiading off-site law enforcement evidence collection equipment construction project were announced, and Shanghai Jiazhetong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. won the bid with about 10.4 million. The reason for winning the bid is that "the technical solution provided by Shanghai Jiazhetong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. meets the actual use needs of the owner, has a comprehensive, reliable and targeted design, can ensure the realization of project goals, has a complete training program, and plans to send a sufficient number of development service teams, with reasonable configuration, rich project construction experience, complete original factory authorization, and the most similar performance. Provide on-site services of no less than 4 people and 3 vehicles (at least two aerial platforms and one other maintenance vehicle) during the warranty period."

 

Strengthen supervision of various illegal behaviors of electric bicycles

 

This bidding has high requirements for the RFID system. In addition to the usual red light running behavior, according to the bidding announcement, the bidding RFID equipment must also realize the collection of illegal behaviors such as electric bicycles with special "electronic license plates" installed, driving in the opposite direction, breaking prohibitions, and not driving in non-motorized vehicle lanes.

 

In addition, the bidding announcement clearly stated that "RFID electronic police collect electric bicycles with special "electronic license plates" installed and driving speeds greater than or equal to 6km/h." That is to say, RFID electronic police need to have a speed measurement function, and the speed limit of electric bicycles is 6km/h.

 

Not only that, RFID electronic police equipment must also have event detection functions, analyze and judge abnormal situations such as non-motor vehicles breaking bans, going on bridges and entering tunnels within a fixed scene range, and provide early warning functions.

 

In terms of receiving range, the receiving range of the RFID read-write base station is greater than 100 meters (that is, the monitoring range) under visual conditions, and the receiving capacity requirement is to receive more than 200 electronic license plates within 1 minute (that is, at least 200 vehicles can be monitored within 1 minute).

 

According to the bidding announcement, the RFID system also needs to establish a data retransmission mechanism. Once a fault occurs and the data is interrupted, the data retransmission should be completed within the specified time after the fault is eliminated. The front-end equipment must establish an effective time calibration mechanism with the central system to ensure that it is calibrated with the central system at least once a day, and the timing error should not exceed 1 second. In addition to recording the illegal data of electric bicycles, RFID electronic police equipment must also be able to collect passing data and record and store it separately and independently.

 

How does RFID play a role in electric bicycle management?

RFID technology can accurately identify and track multiple electric bicycles at the same time, which not only improves the efficiency and accuracy of vehicle management, but also ensures the safety of vehicles and promotes the development of intelligent transportation. With the continuous advancement of technology and the expansion of application scenarios, the application prospects of RFID technology in the field of electric bicycle management will be broader. At present, the role of RFID technology in electric bicycle management is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

 

1. Vehicle identification and tracking

Unique identification: By installing a license plate or chip with an RFID tag on each electric bicycle, each vehicle can be given a unique electronic identity. This identity is unique and can be bound to the basic information of the vehicle (such as brand, model, color, owner information, etc.). Real-time tracking: Using RFID technology, real-time tracking of electric bicycles can be achieved. When a vehicle enters an area where an RFID reader is installed, the reader automatically identifies and records the vehicle's information, including location, time, etc. This helps the management department monitor the dynamics of the vehicle and promptly detect and handle abnormal situations.

 

2. Improve vehicle management efficiency

Automatic registration and cancellation: When electric bicycles are registered and cancelled, RFID technology can be used to achieve automatic processing. By reading the information in the RFID tag, the vehicle registration and deregistration procedures can be completed quickly, reducing the tediousness and errors of manual operations.

Violation capture: RFID technology can be combined with traffic management systems such as video surveillance and traffic lights to capture electric bicycle violations. When a vehicle violates traffic rules, the RFID reader can record the vehicle's information and use it as a basis for law enforcement.

Intelligent parking management: In electric bicycle parking lots or parking areas, RFID technology can be used to achieve intelligent parking management. By reading the information in the RFID tag, it can be determined whether the vehicle is parked legally, and the parking time and fee can be automatically recorded. This helps to standardize parking behavior and improve the utilization rate and management efficiency of parking lots.

 

3. Ensure vehicle safety

Anti-theft tracking: RFID technology can help car owners track stolen electric bicycles. When a vehicle is stolen, the owner can provide vehicle information to the management department through the alarm system. The management department can use RFID technology to track the location of the vehicle and assist the police in recovering the stolen vehicle.

Vehicle maintenance reminder: RFID tags can also store vehicle maintenance information, such as maintenance cycle, replacement time of accessories, etc. By reading this information regularly, the management department can send maintenance reminders to the owner to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle.

 

4. Promote the development of intelligent transportation

Data collection and analysis: RFID technology can collect a large amount of electric bicycle driving data, including driving routes, speeds, time, etc. These data can be used to analyze traffic flow, congestion, vehicle distribution, etc., and provide strong support for urban traffic planning and management.

Integration with other modes of transportation: RFID technology can be combined with other modes of transportation such as public transportation, taxis, and online car-hailing to achieve information sharing and collaborative management among multiple modes of transportation. This helps to optimize the allocation of transportation resources and improve the overall efficiency and convenience of the urban transportation system.
