The polymer chip material of PPTC Resettable Fuse has its own process and material patent, and is independently developed and designed by Fuzhi. Under "normal operating conditions", the device maintains an extremely low resistance (milliohms), allowing current to flow through the device without restriction. The electrodes and leads are connected in series on both sides of the circuit to protect the circuit. When an overcurrent condition occurs, the polymer PTC material heats up and the resistance increases rapidly. This sharply increased resistance (to an insulated state) will cut off the current in the circuit, thereby protecting the components and devices in the circuit. After removing the fault current, the PPTC Resettable Fuse cools down, and its resistance drops to the original extremely low value. A resettable fuse "resets", allowing current to flow through the circuit again.
